Reading at Home:
Research tells us...
* students who read outside of class do better on standardized tests
* reading helps to build vocabulary, fluency and comprehension
* reading for an extended time helps students build the stamina they need to take standardized tests like FCAT
* students who read regularly outside the classroom do better academically
He that loves a book will never want a faithful friend,
a wholesome counselor, a cheerful companion, an effectual comforter.
By study, by reading, by thinking, one may innocently
